It seems like there's a change to meet Vanessa on August 2nd!

"Aug. 2: Pop Day features a 2 p.m. concert with Musso followed by a meet-and-greet from 3 to 5 p.m.; and a 6 p.m. concert featuring Ace Young, a former "American Idol" contestant, and Vanessa Carlton. Festival goers also can meet Bucky Dent and Lovato at 11 a.m."

Kohl's is using the inspiration of Vanessa Carlton, and other "today" musicians to sell their clothes.

"The musical celebrities are part of what Menomonee Falls-based Kohl's (NYSE: KSS) calls its "Inspired by the Artists...worn by you" campaign.

The program is designed to appeal both to teens and their mothers and promotes denim clothing items, Kohl's said.

The multimedia campaign begins this month and will run across mediums "that are relevant to both students and their moms," said Julie Gardner, Kohl's executive vice president and chief marketing officer. "

As you guys can tell, there's a new layout up. I had trouble finding the right image, and when I remembered this lovely photo, I aimed for something black and white - but with red as an essential.

On Vanessa news, she is is all over the country with her tour. She'll be in my town soon and I might attend, so more pictures and hopefully some videos will be up from me.

Vanessa is all for Obama in the 2008 presidential campaign.

"Barack is a fantastic thinker and extremely bright, and I'm very relieved because I have a feeling it's a shoe-in at this point," Carlton told Usmagazine.com at Jawbone's CultureCatch Music Salon Series on June 17 in NYC. "I don't want to speak too soon, but I don't know how anyone could not vote for such an obviously prepared candidate."
